Costa Rica is renowned for its rich and diverse fishery, and Juan Mora Sport Fishing is your gateway to exploring it. Led by the experienced and friendly Captain Juan Mora and his dedicated crew, we promise an unforgettable fishing experience.
Choose from half-day, 3/4-day, or full-day trips to explore fishing grounds tailored to your angling preferences. On shorter trips, you can target species like Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, and Little Tunny, with the occasional Billfish making an appearance. For the ultimate adventure, our full-day expeditions focus on reeling in the majestic Marlin (Black, Blue, and Striped) and Sailfish, known for their fighting spirit.
We offer a range of fishing techniques, including the option to fly fish—just bring your fly-fishing equipment. If snorkeling interests you, simply inform Captain Juan, and we’ll make the necessary arrangements.
Your journey will be aboard our comfortable and stable vessels: a 27’ Robalo center console, freshly restored in 2019, equipped with a 200 HP Suzuki engine, accommodating up to five anglers, and our two Bertram 31’: Crazy Dog powered by twin 315 HP Cummins engines, and Icomunicado, powered by twin 370 HP Cummins engines featuring a toilet for added convenience.
Onboard, you'll find top-of-the-line Penn and Shimano tackle, live bait caught during the trip, lures, tuna tubes, and outriggers. Captain Juan and his crew will provide everything needed for a successful fishing trip, including cleaning and filleting your catch.
Families are welcome—children over the age of 6 can join the adventure, with life jackets provided. Snacks, drinks, and sandwiches are included on all trips. Please ask about Costa Rican fishing license, and don't forget to pack sunscreen long-sleeve shirts, and sunglasses for sun protection.
